Lansdowne- the city of the Blue Pine
Hey people! welcome to a new page in the city of Uttarakand; Lansdowne,a great visit with me and my extended family. A trip which tried to remove cleared misgivings of certain people and salvaged some differences. It gets so cold in the month of November and after 5 or 6 pm, life shuts down. It is a cantonment town in the Pori Garhwal district of Uttarakand at a height of 1706 m, the hills are barren and snowy.
-It was named after Kalu and Danda forest in Garhwali later changed to Lansdowne after a Viceroy. The drive through Blue Pine trees.
Lansdowne was built by the British for the training of Pori Garhwal regiment.
