Manali is a valley nestled in the Himalyas. The British introduced apple trees in the area at Patlikul. Till today; apple, pears and plums rule the roost for Manali. Rainbow and Brown trout species were introduced by the British.
PLACES TO VISIT
A Valley between the Beas Kund and Solan village; this valley is popular for skiing and in summer you can enjoy Paragliding with the smell of the trees welcoming you into their fold.
At a height of 3978 ft; this place deserves a special mention with many winter activities and also mountain biking in the summer; you can find snow even in winters. Splendid views of mountains; this place is not to be missed while on a road trip.
This gurudwara is 45 km from Kullu; devotees can take a holy bath in the springs which are natural sulphur springs. It is built at a place where Guru Nanak meditated in the lap of nature. It is situated at a height of 1760 m. The langar of the Gurudwara is cooked in these springs.
